Alex de Grassi (* 13.02.1952, Yokosuka, Japan) is an extremely influential fingerstyle steel string acoustic guitar player from the United States. A Grammy finalist, de Grassi is renowned for his innovative techniques and compelling, orchestrated compositions using counter melodies and cross-rhythms. De Grassi plays a mixture of original material and US folk, holding a pivotal role in kick-starting New Age Steel-String Acoustic music. The techniques he pioneered are now commonplace in what is considered contemporary playing.

Moonlight Tidepool
My latest single. Part of an upcoming album. As the title suggests, this one evokes visions of moonlight playing across the rhythmic ripples on the surface of a tidepool. I haven't been using slaps for awhile. Perhaps I will update and post previous releases soon. more
